Lesli Benitez

Paralegal / Immigration Specialist

  Lesli has over 17 years of experience, making her one of the most experienced paralegals in our area. While she primarily works  with our immigration clients, she also assists with criminal and civil litigation. She joined our office in August of 2011. Lesli uses her considerable multitasking skills and customer service experience to help families in transition by providing detailed support to our clients. From complex litigation cases to simple uncontested divorces, she is involved from beginning to end. 

  Lesli assists clients by providing regular contact and updates, applying for immigration benefits, managing the discovery process, maintaining the case calendar and deadlines, preparing English to Spanish translations, and drafting pleadings and letters. She also maintains all document production and the client case file.

   As a native of Hidalgo, Mexico, Lesli is bilingual. Lesli enjoys reading, traveling, studying new languages, and exploring new cultures.

Alexa Benitez

Legal Assistant

 Alexa has been assisting our office as a filing clerk for over two years and recently became a legal assistant. She assists our office in keeping client files updated, updating our office calendar, preparing Spanish to English translations, e-filing, and drafting pleadings and discovery requests. By being bilingual she is exceedingly beneficial to our office and our clients.
 
  She is involved in diverse clubs at her school. She is active in speech and debate, a member of YMCA Youth and Government (Hi-Y) and has been part of the Future Hispanic Leaders of America. She was nominated by her peers and teachers to become a member of the Sources of Strength Program. These exper-iences have enhanced her communication skills to provide irreproachable service to our clients.

Abby Svancara

Paralegal 

  Abby joins us from the College of Eastern Idaho paralegal training program. Abby has already become a valuable member of our team with her skills of quick learning and smart efficiency. She has shown her abilities by drafting legal correspondence and solving diverse daily demands in the legal field. Law has always intrigued Abby and due to this she wants to become an attorney. She already has a basic technical certificate which allows her to have a better understanding of Idaho law such as criminal code, traffic code, criminal procedures, and rules of evidence. Furthermore she is able to draft and review contracts. She is also working on an Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences which gives her the opportunity to excel in the legal field. In addition to law she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and swimming. Abby is a remarkable intern due to her compassion and eunoia.
